Colony Wars is a new trade deck for Star Realms, a self-contained 2-player game which can also be combined with the base set for a 4-player game.  The deck contains 80 cards. Release is planned for late November. MSRP is $14.99.

Cosmic Gambit is a small 15-card expansion which received a limited release at Origins this summer.  The ‘gambit’ is a type of card that boosts power and changes dynamic to the basic Star Realms game.  Most gambits can only be used once per game, and players are given two random gambits at the beginning of a game.  This set evolves those rules, with some cards entering play ‘hidden,’ causing some actions/ bonuses to trigger when the gambit is revealed.  Most of the cards also have an additional function which is triggered when they are scrapped. The Comic Gambit expansion includes 13 gambit cards, 1 base, and a rules card.  MSRP is $5.99. Release is planned for October.

Star Realms won the fan-favorite Origins Award this year (see “2015 Origins Award Winners”), and the game came in at #4 on ICv2’s most recent hobby channel Top 10 non-collectible game chart (see “Top 10 Card/Dice Games--Spring 2015”).
