Big things are planned for the 35th anniversary of the creation of Mike Baron and Steve Rude’s Nexus in 2016, with new material launching and the latest collection planned for release next month.
The new material is the result of a successful Kickstarter which is funding a unique publishing project. A new Nexus story by Baron and Rude will be published as a newspaper strip, with at least 10 new pages per month. The new material will be made available digitally, and mailed to backers. Retailers can also order the paper releases in units of 10 at 40-60% off. Once the Nexus story is done (35 weeks), it will be followed by a story featuring The Moth, written by Gary Martin with art by Rude.
Dark Horse Comics is releasing a new Nexus collection in early December; Nexus: Into the Past and Other Stories collects the short stories from Dark Horse Presents #12-#15, #23-#26, and #29-#34. MSRP for the 144-page trade paperback will be $17.99.
