Marvel Comics has announced a 2016 event titled Apocalypse Wars, according to Newsarama.

According to the report, the announcement was made at Comic Con Experience 2015 in San Paolo, Brazil. The report is substantiated by this image, which was posted to imgur. Marvel talent manager Ricky Purdin said the event will run across titles including Extraordinary X-Men, All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men.

With Apocalypse being the titular villain of Fox’s next X-Men movie releasing in May, its a good bet Marvel plans to capitalize on the character's moment in the spotlight (see “'X-Men: Apocalypse' Synopsis Reveals Villains Motives & Plans”).
