Bushiroad will release an English language version of its iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls expansion set for the popular Weiss Schwarz trading card game.  The release date will be March 18.

The new expansion features the characters and action of the Idolmaster anime series, which in turn was based on the iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls mobile game from Bandai Namco Entertainment.  The story of the series follows a music producer who is charged with the task of training young pop idols on their way to stardom.

Following the theme of the mobile game, the expansion will be available in three different themed pre-constructed Trial Decks.  Each deck includes 50 fixed cards, with some decks also including randomly inserted RRR Foil cards (2 varieties per deck) or SP Gold Foil Hot Stamp cards (1 variety per deck) signed by Japanese voice actresses.  The Smile deck includes only red cards and features chase cards signed by Uzuki Shimamura and Ayaka Ohashi, Heart is made only from blue cards and features Rin Shibuya and Ayaka Fukuhara, and Power uses only yellow cards, with cards signed by Mio Honda and Sayuri Hara in some decks.

A collector’s Meister Set will also be offered for this expansion, with an exclusive rubber playmat, 700-card storage box, and PR card.  Each Meister Set also includes 10 iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls booster packs.  The Meister Set will be a limited print run.

Booster Packs with eight random cards will round out the expansion, including a total of 112 different cards, with 50 parallel versions.  Some random packs will include one of 15 exclusive SP Gold Foil Hot Stamp cards signed by the voice actresses.  Two PR cards out of six different types will be included in each booster display.

The English language version of the new expansion does not include the gold or silver campaign coupons from the Japanese Edition.  They may only be used in tournaments held outside of Japan.

iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls will release about a month after the Nisemonogatari expansion, which introduced the new Meister Set format (see “‘Nisemonogatari’ Expansion Joins ‘Weiss Schwarz’”).
