DC Entertainment has announced that it will launch a new 80-page anthology comic series, Legends of Tomorrow, in March.  Stories in the anthology were originally announced as individual miniseries at San Diego Comic-Con (see “DC Announces 8 New Miniseries for 2016”), with fan-favorite writers reunited with characters on which they were popular.

Stories in the anthology will include:

  • Firestorm, by Gerry Conway with art by Eduardo Pansica and Rob Hunter.
  • Metal Men, by Len Wein with art by Yildiray Cinar and Trevor Scott.
  • Metamorpho, written by Aaron Lopresti with art by Aaron Lopresti and Matt Banning.
  • Sugar & Spike, by Keith Giffen with art by Bilquis Evelv.

Cover art is by Aaron Lopresti.

DC’s new The Legends of Tomorrow TV series premieres in January (see “The ‘Legends of Tomrrow’ Are Battle Ready”).  The connection, if any, between the comic and TV brands has not been made explicit by DC.

Legends of Tomorrow #1 will street March 9 at $7.99.
