Fantasy Flight Games will release Omens of Ice, the third expansion set for its cooperative dice game Elder Sign, in March.

Omens of Ice offers a variety of new ways to play the game, including three new Ancient Ones to fight against, new characters, and new encounters.  Alternatively, players can set out for the frozen horrors of the artic in the new “Alaska Expedition” game mode.  In the far north, they must contend with hostile weather, dwindling supplies, and hostile creatures both natural and supernatural as they race to defeat the Ancient One.  The difficulty of the expedition can be modified by choosing the calmer summertime or more dangerous wintertime.

The new expansion includes 60 Alaskan Adventure cards, 3 Ancient Ones, 8 Investigators, and new Allies, Spells, Common Items, and Unique Items.  Omens of Ice requires the base game to play, and is intended for 1 to 8 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 1 to 2 hours.  MSRP is $24.95.

Gates of Arkham, the second expansion for Elder Sign, was released early in 2015 (see “‘Gates of Arkham’ Expansion For ‘Elder Sign’”).
