Avalon Hill has announced the Talisman Nemesis:  Call of the Hunt expansion for Talisman 5E, offering a new option for one-versus-many gameplay.  The expansion will be released into the trade in the fourth quarter following a launch on Hasbro Pulse.

With the new expansion, one player can assume the role of the Nemesis, who will control adversaries and villains during the game.  The other players act as the heroes and must work together to thwart the Nemesis by completing three trials.  As the heroes progress through their challenges, mystery boxes reveal new cards and figures that are added to the game.

Call of the Hunt features the new playable Huntress character with figure, a collectible toad miniature, three large mystery figures, and a double-sided gameboard overlay to replace the Inner Region.  Also included are 77 cards, 12 tokens, and two mystery boxes.

Intended for three to six players, ages 12 and up, the game takes about an hour to play with this expansion.  A copy of the base game is needed to play.  MSRP is $34.99.

Avalon Hill released the fifth edition of Talisman last year (see “‘Talisman:  The Magical Quest Board Game’ Returns in New 5th Edition”) along with the Talisman Alliances:  Fate Beckons cooperative-play expansion (see “Avalon Hill Unveils ‘Talisman 5E’ Expansion”).
