In an attempt to battle the nearly inevitable decay in sales as issue numbers increase, Marvel announced a variant program for the first issues of select second story arcs of its All-New, All-Different titles. The variants will feature images that attempt to encapsulate the first arcs in a single image. The images will also be used in comic stores and in online advertising to promote the new arcs.
The variant program will run for at least three months, with the affected titles for February and March announced as:
- All-New Inhumans #5
- All-New X-Men #4
- Amazing Spider-Man #9
- Carnage #6
- Deadpool #8
- Doctor Strange #6
- Extraordinary X-Men #8
- Guardians of the Galaxy #6
