Publisher Oni Press has joined the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund as its newest corporate member, the organization announced.

Founded in 1997, Oni Press publishes a broad and varied slate of books designed to appeal to anyone, and everyone. With a vast library that includes stories for every kind of reader, Oni Press continues to publish a highly curated, incredibly diverse line including titles like Invader Zim, The Damned, Courtney Crumrin, Scott Pilgrim, Grrl Scouts, No Dead Time, Oddville, Queen & Country, and Whiteout.

“We are incredibly proud to formalize our longtime support of the Fund by becoming a corporate member,” says Oni Press Publisher and President Joe Nozemack. “We applaud their staunch defense of free speech and expression in the comics medium when confronted with intolerance and censorship from groups looking to silence our most important creative voices. Add to that their proactive initiatives to inform and educate the population about comics, and it’s clear that this is one of the most important organizations serving our industry.”

Other CBLDF corporate members include Abrams, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, Boom! Studios, ComiXology, Dark Horse Comics, DC Entertainment, DCBS.com, Diamond Comic Distributors, Graphitti Designs, Half Price Books, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Penguin Random House, ReedPOP, Scholastic, SPX, TFAW.com, Valiant, and the Will and Ann Eisner Family Foundation
