Japanime Games has announced that it will be publishing Heart of Crown, licensing the deckbuilding game from Japanese publisher Japon Brand (Machi Koro, Sushi Draft).

The game is a quick, light-hearted deckbuilder where players nominate a particular Princess to take an empty throne, using influence, dirty tricks, and more to wrest the crown from their rivals. It is for 2 – 4 players and  plays in 20 – 40 minutes. MSRP is $50.00, and the game releases in August, in time for Gen Con.

Currently the English publishing of the game is being funded via Kickstarter, where it has raised $91,572 from 670 backers (about $136.67/backer); the Kickstarter ends next week.

Until recently, Japanime Games was the publisher of Krosmaster Arena; at the beginning of this year CoolMiniOrNot took over publishing of the game ("'Krosmaster' Moves to CMON in 2016").
