First Second Books has announced its Fall 2016 publishing line-up, which includes new graphic novels from Ben Hatke, Jason Shiga, Drew Weing, Andy Hirsch, Box Brown, and more.

Ben Hatke, author of the Zita the Spacegirl series and the upcoming Nobody Likes a Goblin (see “Hatke, Sturm, Knisley, Yang”), now offers a new take on Jack and the Beanstalk with Mighty Jack. The beans turn their boring little backyard garden into an adventure they’ll never forget.  The 208-page paperback will release on September 6 and has an MSRP of $14.99

Demon, Volume 1 is the first in a four-volume, high-concept horror mystery by Jason Shiga. When Jimmy is killed, he doesn’t die, he just takes over the body of someone in close proximity to him.  Jimmy doesn’t’ care what effects his actions have on others, as long as he can keep his daughter safe. But there is a shadowy government agency closing in on them both. The 176-page paperback will release on October 4, and has an MSRP of $19.99.

Tetris, by Box Brown (Andre the Giant), tells the story of the creation of the video game Tetris, which surprisingly involves Russian spies and some questionable international business shenanigans.  The 256-page paperback will release on October 11, and has an MSRP of $19.95.
