Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced a new four-player version of its popular Adventure Time: Card Wars card game. Release is planned for Q3.

Adventure Time: Card Wars – Doubles Tournament pits teams of two players against each other.  Players take the roll of Jake (Cornfield/NiceLands) and Charlie (Blue Plains/NiceLands) against Grand Prix (SandyLands/IcyLands) and Moniker (Useless Swamps/IcyLands). Each player has their own deck and sits between two opponents, across from their partner. On their turn, players use two landscape cards on each opponent. Both teams have a total of 40 hit points, and the first team to drop their opponents’ score to zero wins. Otherwise rules are the same for a one-on-one game.

This set features all-new cards including the debut of Teamwork cards. Each player may control one of these Teamwork cards, which don’t occupy a Lane, thus giving the player and their partner a benefit for multiple turns.

The box includes 160 game cards, 16 Landscape tiles, 4 Hero cards, hit points and frozen tokens, and a rulebook.  The game is for four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 30 -45 minutes. MSRP is $35.00.
