Mangaka challenges players to draw comic stories over four rounds, based on a trio of Theme Cards that define each player’s comic style.  Each round lasts five minutes, after which the players earn points based on how effectively their drawings fit their themes.  Later rounds are made more challenging through the introduction of Trend Cards that introduce additional ways to score points.

The game was released by Thompson’s company Mock Man Press last year for a successful Kickstarter campaign.  Japanime Games and Mock Man Press have partnered to publish and distribute the game to trade.
