Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new boxed starter set for its Star Wars roleplaying game, with plans to release it in Q3.

The Force Awakens Beginner Game is designed for new players looking to learn the game system, including players who have no prior role playing game experience.  It features pre-generated character folios that include game rules to minimize rules research during play.

The core of the set is a complete adventure story written to teach the rules of the game as you play.  The adventure is set shortly before The Force Awakens movie, beginning in the deserts of Jakku and leading to a mystery of galactic import.

The Force Awakens Beginner Game includes a 32-page adventure book, a 48-page rulebook, an introduction to the game, 4 full-color character folios, a double-sided map, 14 Star Wars RPG dice, and 57 tokens.  MSRP is $29.95.
