Monte Cook Games’ Numenera goes full circle in 2016 with the release of the Torment – Tides of Numenera: Explorer’s Guide, based on the computer role playing game inspired by the pen and paper game. The book will release in August, shortly before the computer game becomes available.
In Torment – Tides of Numenera, players can explore new parts of the Ninth World setting, created specifically for the computer roleplaying game by inXile entertainment. The book will include descriptions and rules for adding these areas to the tabletop Numenera game, covering locations, non-player characters, artifacts, and creatures, complete with game stats.
Designed to appeal to players of both the traditional and electronic versions of Numenera, Torment – Tides of Numenera: Explorere’s Guide will include spoilers and other information about the computer game. The full-color hardcover book will total 160 pages, and was written by Shanna Germain (Numenera, The Cypher System Rulebook). MSRP is $39.99.
Monte Cook will soon launch an organized play program to support its tabletop games, focused on Numenera (see “Monte Cook Games Launches Organized Play”).
