Disney has released character details for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film via Entertainment Weekly.

The magazine’s cover reveals that Darth Vader will have a role in the film, and will be voiced by James Earl Jones. There will be a new breed of Stormtrooper introduced, the black-clad Deathtroopers, which are tasked with hunting down and destroying the Rebel Alliance. Imperial Director Orson Kennic (Ben Mendelsohn) is the man in charge of the Death Star project.

The Rebel group tasked with securing plans for the Death Star consists of reluctant heroine Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), blind warrior monk Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen), Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), Rebel pilot Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), and Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker). The will be helped by new droid K-2SO (Kaytoo Esso), who is played by Alan Tudyk.

The first trailer can be seen here: “First 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Trailer.” The film opens in theaters on December 16.
