Arcadia, a planned climate-resistant community that will be located at sea off the coast of Greenland, is the center point of DC’s new Black Label miniseries
Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia, written, penciled, and inked by Gabriel Hardman with colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr. The four-issue miniseries is set in a time of ecological collapse and follows the three titular heroes as they raise questions about Arcadia and expose the darkness at its heart. “While I’m taking inspiration from the great work of Denny O’Neil, Denys Cowan and Mike Grell, this series isn’t an exercise in nostalgia,” Hardman said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “I’m taking the grounded approach they spearheaded in the late 80s and moving forward, having these three difficult, opinionated personalities confront a contemporary brand of criminality on a global scale.”
Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia #1 will be released on November 26, 2025, with a main cover by Hardman and variant covers by Kevin Nowlan and Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz. The Cowan and Sienkiewicz variant is based on a poster promoting the 1988 “Fables” crossover between Detective Comics Annual #1, Green Arrow Annual #1, and The Question Annual #1. This is the first time it has been offered as a variant cover; it will be available in both standard card stock and trade-dress-free foil versions.
Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia, a hardcover collecting all four issues, will be released on June 16, 2026, with an MSRP of $24.99.
The most recent Black Label series, Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum, will launch on August 13 (see “New DC Black Label Series from Creators of ‘Ice Cream Man’”).
