In August, Passport Game Studios will release Mythe, a kid-friendly game from Japanese game designer Koji Malta, produced in partnership with LudiCreations.

When an evil dragon and its monstrous minions invade the peaceful kingdom of Mythe, it is up to a band of heroic young mice to rescue the princess and recover the Sacred Cheese from the dragon’s castle.  This is the story behind Mythe, which uses a three-dimensional board to represent the journey that the mice must undertake to complete their mission, using a push-your-luck style game mechanic.

Mythe is designed for 2 to 5 players, ages 6 and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.  MSRP is $29.99.

Passport plans two other releases for August:  Quartz by Sergio Halaban (see “‘Quartz,’ Expansions for ‘CV,’ and update on Simurgh’”) and Chris Castagnetto’s 3 Wishes (see “NSKN Games Announces Strawberry Studio”).
