DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed the casting of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman feature, Wall Street Journal reported.
Manganiello is known for his roles on True Blood and the Magic Mike movies. Affleck, who is directing and starring in the film, shared video on his Twitter of the Deathstroke costume (see "Deathstroke Confirmed for Ben Affleck's Batman Movie"), but nothing was said about who had been cast in the role of Slade Wilson.
Johns confirmed the casting with the WSJ during his first interview discussing his new role at Warner Bros. overseeing DC Comics based films, a position that was announced in May (see "DC Film Shake-Up Continues").
