The game is designed by Jesus Torres Castro (Pandemic Iberia). Players take the roles of aspiring detectives who will work alongside Sherlock Holmes to solve a series of cases. Players must visit locations, speak with witnesses, and decipher clues before coming to their own conclusions, independent of the other players. When a player thinks they’ve figured out the mystery, they must present their facts to Holmes and Dr. Watson. If they are correct, they win the game. If they are wrong, the game continues until one of the remaining detectives comes to the correct conclusion. The game includes 13 cases.
