Peter Capaldi, the current Doctor, will be guest starring in the first episode (see “'Doctor Who' Spin-off Will Feature Peter Capaldi”). The series, set at Coal Hill Academy, will star students Charlie (Greg Austin), April (Sophie Hopkins), Ram (Fady Elsayed) and Tanya (Vivian Oparah), along with their physics teacher Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly). The students and their teacher will face off against supernatural and extraterrestrial threats.
The series will premiere on Saturday October 22 on the BBC. BBC America has said the program will air in America in the spring of 2017.
