The cover wrap for Action Comics #1 has pre-bid up to just under $200,000 at Heritage Auctions' June 26-29, 2025 Comic & Comic Art Signature Auction.

The current pre-bid for the cover wrap of Action Comics #1 stands at $160,000 ($192,000 with buyer's premium). Once again, this auction is only for the front, back, and inside covers of the iconic book; not for the actual comic itself.  The current pre-bid price for the cover wrap comes close to exceeding the realized price for the Action Comics #1 ashcan, which sold for $204,000 in 2021 (see "Ashcan").  This auction is the first recorded public auction sale of just the cover of this book; the Overstreet value of a Good 2.0 condition copy of Action Comics #1 is $368,000 as of 2024.

The auction also features two Frank Frazetta pieces up for sale.  The first is a original Buck Rogers cover from Famous Funnies #214.  This cover has pre-bid up to $360,000 ($432,000 with buyer's premium).  The other is an original painting, entitled The Dancer from Atlantis, that has pre-bid up to $300,000 ($360,000 with buyer's premium).
