Wilson tells the story of a lonely, neurotic, and hilariously honest middle-aged man who finds out he had a daughter with his estranged wife (Laura Dern), who was given up for adoption. He as his wife set out to find the teenager (Isabella Amara) and try to connect with her.
The graphic novel was published by Drawn & Quarterly and won an Eisner award in 2011. The film adaptation was announced in 2010. Laura Dern and Woody Harrelson came on board in 2015 (see “Film Based on Daniel Clowes' 'Wilson' Gets Stars”).
The movie releases in theaters on March 24, 2017.
