Veteran game designer Reiner Knizia (Tigris & Euphrates, Ra, Samurai) takes on comic book themes in Gigamic’s new dice game POW!, releasing March 8.

In POW!, players compete to build the best team of comic book superheroes, and the villains to confront them, using a set of custom dice.  Rolling the right combination on the dice allows a player to take a tile from the pool, adding it to their hero or villain stack.  With the right combo, they can even steal characters from their opponents.  In the end, the player with the best combination of heroes and villains wins the game.

The game includes 24 tiles and 5 dice.  The game is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.  MSRP is $14.99.  The game features comic-style artwork by Jonathan Aucomte.

A long-time fixture in the European game market, Gigamic has begun a push into the American market after negotiating a distribution deal with PSI (see "PSI Announces Deal With Gigamic Games").  Its aggressive holiday release schedule included six titles new to the U.S. (see "'Fatal Rendez-vous,' 'Karibou Camp,' 'Ciao,' More").
