In July, Alderac Entertainment Group will add Unicornus Knights to its “Big in Japan” line.

Created by Japanese game designers Seiji Kanai (Love Letter, Lost Legacy) and Kuro (The Ravens of Thri Sahashri, Seventh Hero), Unicornus Knights is a cooperative fantasy adventure game.  The players are the loyal followers of the young Princess Cornelia, sworn to help her regain her kingdom from the Emperor.  The players must gather resources and soldiers, then lead them against the armies of the empire until the Princess can enter the capitol and face the Emperor.

Unicornus Knights includes 27 location tiles, 28 character standups, 139 cards, 12 dice, and 170 tokens.  The game is designed for 2 to 6 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in about two hours.

Alderac recently released another Seiji Kanai cooperative game, Eight Epics (see “‘Eight Epics’ From Seiji Kanai”).
