Stronghold Games will release Uwe Rosenberg’s Cottage Garden board game to North American audiences in June.

Rosenberg’s (Agricola, Caverna: The Cave Farmers, Patchwork) latest game joins Stronghold’s Great Designer Series which includes Porta Nigra, 504, Jorvik, and Great Western Trail (see “Stronghold, Eggertspiele Announce Partnership”). Cottage Garden has players take the role of ambitious gardeners, trying to maximize what they grow in a limited amount of space. Players work two beds simultaneously, then visit the central market to gather supplies. When a bed is completed, it is scored and then razed to plant new plants. After five trips to the market, the player with the most points wins.

The box contains 36 flower tokens (puzzle pieces) 16 flower pot markets, 30 cat markers, 2 beehive markers, a gardener die, a wheelbarrow, a parasol, 12 bright blue wooden cubes, 12 orange wooden cubes, 4 point trackers, 1 tow-sided printed came board, 9 two-sided printed flower beds, and a rulebook. The is for 1 – 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 45 – 60 minutes. MSRP is $59.95.
