The Scum and Villainy faction for Fantasy Flight’s Star Wars:  X-Wing Miniatures Game will get a boost when the Guns for Hire Expansion Pack releases in the third quarter of this year.

Guns for Hire offers new ace pilots for the faction, as well as new upgrades and a pair of ships with alternative paint schemes.  The two ships are the Kihraxz fighter and the StarViper.  Both models are included in the set, along with the maneuver dials, bases, and tokens needed to use them in the game.  24 cards are also part of the expansion, with eight ship cards, 12 upgrades, and four condition cards.

Many of the new upgrades feature state-of-the-art tech that can enhance a fighter’s effectiveness and maneuverability at close range or expand a player’s tactical options by allowing them to better tailor their ship’s abilities to its pilot’s skills.

Guns for Hire includes two miniatures with bases and pegs, two maneuver dials, 24 cards, and tokens.  As an expansion, a copy of the base game is required to play.  MSRP is $29.95.

The new expansion follows a trio of new ships releasing in Q2 (see “Independent Operators Join ‘X-Wing’”).
