Glen Soustek of Westlake Cards, Comics & Coins, Inc. in Roselle, Illinois read about Upper Deck cutting up some expensive comic books (see "Cutting Up Expensive Comics") and had this to say.
What Upper Deck is doing is just plain wrong and I think most comic purists would agree. But don't try explaining that to Upper Deck aka "The Anything for a Buck Company." I'm sure many people are still reeling from the revelations of Upper Deck's Yu-Gi-Oh! manufacturing "process" and the steps Konami had to take to regain the integrity of their product line. Perhaps Upper Deck should buy back some of those counterfeited Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and then cut them up and insert them in a line of "Bad People Doing Bad Things" cards.
