Barry Branvold of Barry's Collectors Corner in Grand Forks, North Dakota saw the comments by Jay Bardyla of Happy Harbor Comics on holiday shipping (see 'Jay Bardyla of Happy Harbor Comics on Holiday Shipping'), and says that his customers just come the next day on holiday weeks:

Jay Bardyla of Happy Harbor Comics in Edmonton, Alberta complains about level playing fields.  My store is 80 miles from the Canadian border.  I did not have any Canadians flock to my store on the week comics were a day late in Canada.  Jay's customers just do what every comic book customer does on the weeks comics come late--they come to the store the next day.  My customers usually remember better than I do when the comics will be a day late.  There is certainly no need for weeks to recover, with just one day less to sell through what was purchased.  If it takes me weeks to recover from a loss of one day of sales, I need to reevaluate what I am buying.

The logistics of what Diamond does makes me applaud all that Diamond does for me, rather than complain about a one day delay.  I certainly don't want their job of compiling, shipping, Previews, customer service, and everything else.
