Chris Lynch of Serious Comics in Massapequa, New York saw a recent comment on Marvel Previews (see 'Ilan Strasser on Marvel Previews') and concurs.

Well, I'm sure that there are smarter retailers out there in this world, but after 11 years I think I have an idea what will work and what won't.  I'm usually the last person to complain about these things, but I agree with Ilan Strasser of Fat Moose Comics.  Let us have an option of buying the Marvel Previews separately like the Marvel Age.  I could really use ONE copy for myself to help me order correctly.  Because that's all I would buy.  Making us pay extra for something that should be in the Previews magazine in the first place.  Please give me a break it's just a catalog.   The catalog is supposed to be a tool to help build awareness and anticipation for upcoming projects.  It should be affordable.  Most customers are on a budget.  Where do you think they will spend their money?  On a comic or a catalog?  They can get the same information for free on the Internet or even in the weekly CSN.  Didn't Marvel take the descriptions out of the Previews in the first place because they got sued for not making items that were mis-solicited returnable?  Does this mean that we can hold them responsible if a book is shipped not as solicited?
