Rik Deskin of Rain City Comics in Woodinville, Washington upped promotional efforts for Free Comic Book Day and got more business as a result:

At Rain City Comics in Woodinville, WA in the Seattle area, we had a little more business than the previous year.  We had upped the amount of grass root level promotions, by handing out Spider-Man comics to four nearby cinemas beginning during the last week of the Seattle International Film Festival.  We also sent a press release to all of the local media and managed to get into one weekly newspaper.

Unfortunately, we never received the FCBD shirts in time to use them. In fact, they are on our invoice for Thursday.  I had to request that they take them off since they will be of no use to us now.  I did see some new faces and several regulars brought in new people, but we were competing with the holiday for this event.
