Following the release of Journey into Nyx, chase cards such as Mana Confluence and Athreos, God of Passage were the most sought after in the set.  These were the cards players were most interested in playing with immediately after Journey into Nyx's release.

Since that time, a number of high profile events have taken place including Pro Tour Journey into Nyx and dozens of TCGplayer MaxPoint events.  These events showcased the most recent changes in both the Standard and the Block Constructed formats, driving steady demand for singles.

The breakout decks of Pro Tour Journey into Nyx showcased the strength of the block's scry lands.  Setting the stage for the upcoming fall Standard format, these decks will provide a backbone for deckbuilding come September, when Standard will add on Magic 2015 and the recently announced Khans of Tarkir to the Theros block sets.

Players still seem to be figuring out how Journey into Nyx and Born of the Gods impact the current Standard format.  The multi-colored God cards have not played a role in the format as much as originally speculated by players, and the prices on a number of these cards have dropped since their release.  The overall power level of the devotion mechanic fueling decks such as mono-blue and mono-black has kept other archetypes from gaining heavy traction.

Theros block sets should have lasting value both through this fall, where they will be the primary driving force in the new Standard format, and in years to come due to a heavy dose of Commander-worthy legends.
