Rittenhouse Archives has inked a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Comics to produce multiple comic book-based trading card sets over the next few years.  The agreement allows Rittenhouse to create trading card sets featuring all the key DC characters including Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman and to exploit the entire history of DC Comics, which goes back to the late 1930s.

A key feature of Rittenhouse's DC Comics trading card sets will be the creation of original, one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn sketch cards and original, one-of-a-kind, hand-painted cards that will be randomly inserted throughout each of the upcoming products.  The first Rittenhouse DC Comics trading card release is scheduled for July.

The history of DC Comics trading cards is long and varied and includes releases from Topps, Skybox, Fleer and Upper Deck.  While this agreement doesn't cover trading cards from movies based on DC Comics, the next era in DC comic book-based cards belongs to Rittenhouse.
