According to the Web site Moviehole.com, Chris Columbus, who directed the first two Harry Potter films, has acquired the rights to make a live action film based on Scott Adams' cubicle-centric comic strip Dilbert. Moviehole speculates that Columbus, who has had a considerable career as a writer (Gremlins, The Goonies) and a producer (Night at the Museum, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), was seriously considering directing the live action Dilbert film.
Scott Adams' Dilbert comic strip was the also the source for the 30-episode animated TV series that ran from 1999-2000 on the UPN Network.
