Stone Bridge Press has announced the upcoming release of  The Astro Boy Essays: Osamu Tezuka, Mighty Atom, and the Manga-Anime Revolution, by Frederik Schodt.  Schodt was translator and close friend to Tezuka,  the 'God of Manga,' and is author of Manga! Manga! The World of Japanese Comics, Dreamland Japan, and Native American in the Land of Shogun.

The Astro Boy Essays will be officially released in September, but will also be available at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco during its 'Tezuka: The Marvel of Manga' exhibit, which runs June 2nd-September 9th.  The exhibit will feature more than 200 original drawings and paintings by Tezuka.
