Warner Home Video is preparing a September release for Josie & the Pussycats: The Complete Series, a two-DVD set with a suggested retail price of $26.99.  Produced by Hanna-Barbera the Archie Comics-based cartoon series aired on CBS TV back in 1970.  The original 'Pussycat Dolls,' Josie, Melody and Valerie donned leopard-skin leotards and managed to bang out catchy pop tunes for 16 episodes, all of which are contained on this set.

In addition to the complete series, the DVDs also include a special feature, 'The Allure and Charm of Dan DeCarlo.'  DeCarlo was a renowned Archie artist and fan favorite so this documentary will be welcomed by comic book aficionados, though it apparently sidesteps the bitter controversy over the 'creation' of cartoonland's first and most famous girl group (see 'Dan DeCarlo Dead at 82').
