Variety is reporting that Shoreline Entertainment has optioned the rights to Ken Haeser and Buzz Hasson's zombie comic, The Living Corpse. Shoreline CEO Morris Ruskin will produce and Justin Ritter is slated to direct the film. Haeser and Hasson originally self-published The Living Corpse, which was only recently picked up by Zenescope. The hero of The Living Corpse is a zombie with dim memories of his past life, whose job it is to keep the walking dead from bothering the living.
The Living Corpse will be released under Shoreline's Riptide label, which the mini-studio uses for thriller, horror and action pictures.
