McFarlane Toys has released photos of its first toy based on Francis Ford Coppola's classic 1972 Godfather film.  In January of 2008 McFarlane Toys will release a six-inch scale figure based on Marlon Brando's portrayal of Mafia Don Vito Corleone.  The highly detailed figure comes with a base and a Venetian blind background that will allow collectors to create a mini-diorama that will reflect the proper film noir mood evoked by one the best films of the 1970s.

The Godfather property remains popular and Boom Studios! is publishing a Godfather comic book series scheduled to debut this winter (see 'A Comic Offer You Can't Refuse').
