Gene Smith of Alien Entertainment Company in Lombard, Illinois saw Barry Branvold's comments about the Diamond Seminars (see 'Barry Branvold of Barry's Collectors Corner on Diamond Seminars') and thinks three events across the country should be considered:

I believe I have the solution to that problem: Diamond could do three seminars.

One on the east coast (Baltimore is perfect), another on the west coast (San Diego would be best), and moving Ft. Wayne to Chicago (right after Wizard World).  By attaching each conference to a major comic/trade show, Diamond would be able to attract more attendees and reach a wider audience.

I do not know what their budget is for these events but I'm sure most of the sponsors would support giving that idea a try (at least for one year) and seeing if it works.
