Speed Racer Enterprises has announced several licenses for both the classic and new animated property, which will hit Nicktoons around the time of the release of the live action movie next May (see 'New Speed Racer Cartoons').  The new licenses are for a wide range of merchandise.

Jada Toys will begin releasing vehicles, vinyl figures, and die-cast key chains based on the classic Speed Racer brand in Q1 2008.

Other licensees include ES Originals, for kids footwear, bags, and small leather goods and hosiery; Senario, for plug 'n play videogames; Unique Industries, for party goods; and Innovative Designs, for school supplies.

Most licensees are kicking off with the classic property, with an option for merchandise based on the new show after it launches.
