Fantagraphics has announced the June 2008 release of Town of Mirrors: The Reassembled Imagery of Robert Pollard, a collection of collages and lyrics created by the frontman of legendary alt-rockers, Guided By Voices. Town of
Fantagraphics 'coffee-table' size collection will include 130 of Pollard's favorite collages as well as 20 new collages created specifically for this volume. Though Pollard is best known for his protean musical career during which he fronted Guided By Voices through 18 years of relentless experimentation and changing lineups, he is also a lifelong visual artist, who created the covers for the dozens of records he has released over the past two decades -- primarily by fashioning collages from 1930s to 1960s-era magazines, pamphlets, and paperbacks.
