In his latest posting on the Z-Cult FM site, site administrator Serj announced that Z-Cult would begin pulling the trackers for both DC Comics and Top Cow comics.  The action follows Z-Cult's decision made earlier this week to pull Marvel trackers (see 'Z-Cult Ending Marvel Downloads'), and puts the future of the site up in the air.  Once Marvel took the steps necessary to get its comics removed, it was only a matter of time before DC, which acted in concert with Marvel in sending the initial cease and desist letters, would follow suit.  Serj admitted 'the last seven days has been hell for the staff of Z-Cult FM and myself.  It's not easy seeing your pride and joy that you have worked on since 2004 falling apart by losing files from a few big players, but life must go on.'

In discussing whether to quit or go on, Serj noted that the site had currently reached its peak of popularity, with '72K users,' an indication of how prevalent the downloading of comic books has become. After lamenting the loss of Marvel, DC and Top Cow titles Serj, nevertheless decided 'for the time being we are going to stay here and see where this takes us.'

While Top Cow offered to post previews on the Z-Cult site, it is not at all clear that the site's patrons would return for a meal of appetizers when they have become used to gorging themselves on seven-course meals in previous visits over the past three years.
