Superhero Hype is reporting that NBC Universal's CastleBright Studios  optioned Darren G. Davis' The 10th Muse comic book series currently published by Blue Water Productions.  Davis, who has another of his comic book series, The Legend of Isis, in development at Paramount (see 'Isis Headed for Theaters'), created The Tenth Muse in 2000.  Image Comics published the first issue of The 10th Muse comic, which was written by Marv Wolfman and was the sixth bestselling comic of November, 2000.  Blue Water Productions has announced plans to relaunch the property in 2008 in a new miniseries, Tenth Muse 800, set eight hundred years in the future.

The heroine of the series, Emma Sonnet, disappeared on a post law school graduation trip to the Greek islands only to reappear as a District Attorney, who fights crime in the courtroom by day and on the streets at night.
