Rembert Parker of Reader Copies in Anderson, Indiana saw retailer Brian Cobos’ comments about Upper Deck (see “Brian Cobos of Phoenix Games on Layoffs at Upper Deck”) and says his store received all of its pre-orders for Yu-Gi-Oh! and suggests it may be a distributor issue:

I saw the complaint from Brian Cobos of Phoenix Games about allocations on boxes of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and can't help but wonder why his store is having so much trouble getting product.  We got 100% of our pre-orders from two different distributors as well as 100% of our pre-orders from Upper Deck.  Either they ordered the product after the deadlines (which in some cases are months and months ahead of the shipment dates) or they should find a different distributor.

Our concern is that Wal-Marts in our area starting selling the most recent product four days before the release date given to our distributors, clearly costing us some initial sales.
