High end statue producer ReelArt Studios will produce comics based on pulp properties to be released under a separate imprint by Dark Horse.  Dark Horse announced a deal to distribute ReelArt’s statues in 2006 (see “Dark Horse & ReelArt Studios”).  Under the new arrangement, Dark Horse Comics will release the books as a specialty imprint, Sequential Pulp Comics, beginning in late 2009, and Dark Horse Entertainment will represent movie rights for the properties.

The first properties to get the ReelArt treatment will be Fredric Brown’s Martians Go Home and Otis Adelbert Kline’s Swords of Venus, both licensed from the author’s estates.  ReelArt’s comics will be released as 22-page stories on a bi-monthly basis.

Christopher Mills is the line’s editor in chief.  Talent on the line will include Bruce Jones, Martin Powell, Mike Ploog, Eduardo Barreto, and Thomas Yeates.
