Dan Barnett of Walt's Cards in Baltimore Maryland saw the news about the city of Batman suing Warner Brothers over its name (see “Batman Sues Warner”) and says it reminds him of another similar story:

 

Aside from the frivolity of the lawsuit, one is reminded of another story.

 

In the 1920s the ruler of the British Indian state of Swat objected to the nickname applied to Babe Ruth, "The Sultan of Swat."  There is but one Sultan of Swat and the Indian gentleman was it, he insisted, quite indignantly.

 

Never heard that he sued, though...
