The Digital Entertainment Group has released its home video report on 2008, and The Dark Knight and Iron Man were the #1 and #2 DVDs of the year, respectively.  The Dark Knight set a record for first week sales (see “The Dark Knight Sets DVD Records”). 

The home video market over-all was down 5.5% to $22.4 billion, with rentals flat, DVD sales down 9%, and high definition disc sales tripling.
