Viz has scheduled two art books, including the launch of a new series, for September (among numerous other releases).  The long-awaited Anime Art Gallery:  Art of Inu-Yasha, originally scheduled for 'early 2002' (see 'Viz Translates Anime Art Books'), is finally up for September at $22.95 for 128 pages.  The book will include cel art and paintings, full-color designs, character profiles, water colors from the manga covers, 66 color manga pages (some never-before-published in the US), and numerous other features.

Viz also launches its Collector File postcard book series with Collector File 001:  Girls in Pop in September.  This new series will feature the latest art and design from Japan, with an emphasis on cute, kitschy, and fantasy styles.  Each will contain 30 pages (each a postcard) for $9.95 retail.

On the manga series front, Viz kicks off the previously announced Project Arms (see 'Viz Gets Spirited Away') series in September with a $3.25 64-page b/w first issue, and Battle Angel Alita:  Last Order #1 premieres at $2.95 for 48 b/w pages.
