Fox21 and Platinum Studios are working on creating a TV series based on the high concept Platinum comic book series Gunplay, which was created and written by Jorge Vega. Gunplay is the saga of Abner Meeks, a former buffalo soldier who is cursed with a demonic six gun that forces him to kill someone every day or suffer excruciating pain.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Final Destination scribe Glen Morgan will pen the adaptation of Gunplay.  Morgan has extensive experience in TV including stints on The X-Files and Millennium.

Fox21 and Platinum also recently announced that they were collaborating on the yet-to-published Platinum comic book series Indestructible Man (see “Another Platinum Title Optioned”).
