Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator: Salvation) has signed on to portray a safecracker set to pull off one final heist in a big screen adaptation of Rick Remender’s Radical Comics series, The Last Days of American Crime.  Remender is writing the screenplay based on his mini-series, which is due to debut in December.  The Orwellian saga posits a future invention that gives the government the ability to eradicate crime through thought control.  With the new device set to go online, career criminal Graham Brick assembles a team to pull off one last mega-caper.
